First new recording by FAST CARS on the Method label since 1984 is the new five track EP 'MORE?' The disc comes in a cardboard photographic gatefold sleeve.
Fabian had an idea for this song along the lines of someone who was trying to break out of a rut. He had (just) the title of the song. The lyrics are based on my own experience of my life falling over in my mid 20’s. I sadly dragged family and friends down with me, and for that I will always be sorry. The lyrics in the first verse set up the song like this:
I’ve been so wrong, I let everybody down
It’s been so long, don’t know which way is up.
I’ve been so down, I’ve jumped off a mountain-side
I made a bad decision,
I got it all wrong.
You may be relieved that the song gets happier after the second verse. The middle section lyrics are based on a poem I wrote during my final stint in rehab in 1986. The second half of the song is about recovery. Much happier.

Mindset lyrics by Fast Cars
I’ve been so wrong, I let everybody down
It’s been so long, don’t know which way is up.
I’ve been so down, I jumped off a mountain-side
I made a bad decision, I got it all wrong.
My whole world is changing, Things I know are rearranging
My whole world is changing, changing, Things I know are rearranging
Changing, changing.
I’ve been crying like a baby, Daddy listen to me say,
I’ve been stealing, I’ve been lying, I’ve been crooked , I’ve been crying,
See evil in the night, continue in the day,I make the bad decisions,
Every minute, it’s my way.
My whole world is changing, Things I know are rearranging,
My whole world is changing, changing, Things I know are rearranging
There are those of us who suffer, Who take everything to heart,
Our minds a game of tug o war, Pulling us apart,
Intensity is commonplace, For us the saddened few,
It’s hard to take it easy, Such as the likes of you,
So when we’re at our most extreme, With visions of all kinds,
Try to understand us, and our magic finds,
But don’t ridicule our mania, Or what we want to give,
The mindset’s what we struggle with, We need a way to live!
I’ve been so wrong, I let everybody down
It’s been so long, don’t know which way was up.
I’ve been so down, I jumped off a mountain-side
I made a bad decision, so I got it all wrong.
But now my world is changing !!!
Things I know are rearranging, Now my world is changing !!!
Things I know are rearranging, My whole world, my whole world!
My whole world is changing, Things I know are rearranging,
Now my world is changing, changing, Things I know are rearranging
My whole world is changing, Things I know are rearranging,
Now my world is changing, Things I know are rearranging
