Love from Afar – DL - The first song I’ve written on the harp. Fast Cars and a harp? For years people have said I sound folky, so I thought I’d push it, learn the harp and give the folk thing a go (ya gotta experiment in this life!) An adult lullaby about distance and love. FB - I didn’t have an audio image in my head of Celtic Harp prior to Di playing her first demo of this tune to me. Immediately it sounded of the hedgerows of Thomas Hardy countryside and of Shakespearean sonnets and formal court dances. Sometimes you can travel in time and space simply by putting on your headphones and pressing play.
